How to apply for Spain Visa from Philippines

Is Spain next on your bucket list? The beautiful country of Spain is popular for its sun, beaches, beer, festivals, food and a lot more. If you are traveling to Spain from Philippines for the purpose of tourism, then you need to apply for a Short term Visa (Maximum stay of 90 days) to Spain. This Spain Tourist Visa will remain valid for a six-month period and will permit you to visit rest of the countries in the Schengen Zone. If Spain is the country of first entry and the traveler has to visit different countries of Schengen area, then a Spain Visa should be applied.
In order to apply for a Spain Visa from Philippines, all you get to do is follow the procedure as set by the Embassy and fulfill certain documentation requirement. The procedure is as follows:
1) All the documents which are required must be completed. The applicant should put the requisite documents in a brown colored envelope (The envelope should carry the applicant’s surname, name and contact number in bold letters on the upper left corner).
2) The applicant should come in person on the scheduled appointment date and must pay the Visa fees during the submission of the Spain Schengen Visa Application.
3) The documents should have two copies of the Application Form and one copy of rest of the documents.
Certain documents which are required to apply for a Spain Visa from Philippines are as follows:
1) Duly filled Schengen Visa Application Form.
2) One passport size photo taken on white background (recent) should be pasted on the Visa Application Form.
3) Valid Passport
4) One copy of the data page of passport and previous Visas (if any) along with stamps.
5) Previous passports (If applicable)
6) Spanish/EU Marriage Certificate (issued within 6 months) in case if applicant is spouse of Spanish/EU nationals. Duly authenticated Marriage Certificate as issued by the Filipino authorities (PSA) should be produced by the applicant and it should be authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs.
7) Corresponding authorization for the applicants who are minors.

9) In case of private visit, an official letter which is issued by the Spanish Police should be produced by the applicant along with the copy of host’s passport and/or D.N.I., residence card etc.
10) Certificate of Employment along with the authorization of leave of absence (in original copies)
11) The self-employed applicants should submit business permit, registration and the ITR of company (to be submitted in original and one copy).
12) Non-Filipino applicants should present their ACR, ICR and re-entry permit (and 1 set of photocopies).
13) Airline reservation, detailed travel itinerary and confirmed hotel reservation (with Spain as the main destination).
14) Travel Health Insurance with minimum coverage of EUR 30,000.
